Kentucky Coal County College Completion Scholarship

Students with 60+ credit hours earned after spring semester and who are a resident of Kentucky may be eligible for up to $6800 in scholarship funds with the Kentucky Coal County College Completion Scholarship.

Criteria:

  • Must have lived in one of these KY Counties for at least one year:Bell, Breathitt, Clay, Daviess, Elliott, Floyd, Hancock, Harlan, Henderson, Hopkins, Johnson, Knott, Knox, Laurel, Lawrence, Lee, Leslie, Magoffin, Martin, McLean, Menifee, Muhlenberg, Ohio, Owsley, Perry, Pike, Pulaski, Rockcastle, Union, Webster, Whitley, or Wolfe
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have at least 60 hours of college credit
  • Must have submitted a FAFSA. (Students who have not yet submitted the FAFSA should do so immediately; they should estimate their own or parental income if current year’s taxes have not been filed.)

To Apply:

  • Submit a Kentucky Coal County College Completion Scholarship application by visiting kheaa.com
  • Sign in (link is in the top right corner of the homepage). Students signing in to KHEAA’s website will be asked to register to create a user ID/password
  • Click on “MyKHEAA”
  • Select “Apply Online for Scholarships” from the menu on the left. The Kentucky Coal County College Completion Scholarship link will appear on the following page
